Empower Your Online Auctions and Sales - Learn to Sell Like the Pros

[Valid RSS feed]  Category Rss Feed - http://www.articlesbacklink.com/rss.php?rss=94

Have you ever wondered why some marketers seem to sell everything they list while others can barely make a single sale? Is it because their products are far superior to others? Is it because they have the cheapest price or the coolest web page? Or is it simply that they have adopted some tried and true sales techniques that send their business soaring above the rest?

Think about it. When you are selling online you have only moments to capture the viewer's attention before they 'click away' to another auction or sales site. In fact, you probably have less than 3 seconds before they are gone for good.

Would you like to know how to create professional sales pages and auction listings that will grab your viewer's attention, influence them to go to your listings, compel them to keep reading and ultimately convince them to take action?

Here are 5 key points for creating a winning sales page or auction listing:

1. Use Power Words - People have different reactions to words. When they read a sentence the words will either: paint a picture in their mind, generate a feeling or invoke an internal discussion. Your listings need to incorporate words that appeal to the various types of readers.

2. Maximize the Impact of Your Titles - Be descriptive and specific. If you are listing a red dress in size 8 try to make the title as inviting as possible. Consider these two listings:

Red Dress Size 8 Barely Worn.

STUNNING Candy Apple Red Dress with Ribbed Bodice and Chantilly Lace Sleeves Size 8 Like New.

Which listing would you go to?

3. Apply AIDA - Attention, Interest, Desire, Action.

Capture the viewers Attention.

Generate Interest.

Create Desire.

Compel them to take Action.

4. Focus on Benefits not Features - "Sell the Sizzle - Not the Steak". Your sales pitch should focus on how the viewer will benefit from your product, not just on the features of the product itself.

5. Use Professional Graphics or High Quality Images. If a picture really is worth a thousand words, make sure it's a great picture. High quality graphics and images add 'perceived value' to your product.

By implementing these professional sales techniques in your web store or auction listings you will improve your chances of capturing and maintaining your viewer's attention, increasing their interest and desire, and finally convincing them to take action and purchase your products or services.
