Hooded Jackets, better known as 'hoodies' have been a staple of the average American household for years. We use to rock them to elementary school or slap them on when we didn't feel like piling on clothes. But now, hoodies have come to the forefront and people are finding that the jacket they use to shift to the back of their closet has new meaning. And celebs are bringing more attention to this now popular form of fashion. Below are ways that you can make your personalized hoodie fashionable, and if you don't wear it anymore, use it for something else. School kid, hoodie style: Every one remembers when they use to wear their hoodies to school and if you went to a school that mandated uniforms, you had to wear one of a solid color. Well now, you can wear that hoodie but scrunch the sleeves a little above the forearms and pair it with your favorite everyday wear. If ladies are doing this, wear one that conforms a little to your shape and don't get one with outlandish colors. If it's brightly colored it makes too dramatic a statement. If you wear a hoodie with minor details, such as stripes, don't wear a shirt with an off the wall pattern like plaid stripes of gigantic circles. A graphic tee with a subtle design will do. And there's nothing wrong with a necklace, but remember, your hoodie is supposed to be the statement piece and make sure it doesn't have super long strings for the hood. Those get in the way of the design. Casual hip, hoodie style: If you want to turn a dressy, simple black dress into something you want to rock for a night out with friends, pair it with a snug hoodie that's made to lightly hug your shape and it has small pockets. Pair it with a small clutch, black flats, and you have a simple piece that you can wear with little hassle. Again, super bright colored hoodies aren't recommended, but if you want to try it, a royal blue or deep purple is a good start. A large hair do is a don't with this approach, it's all about making your hoodie the attention piece. Last but not least, if you've decided that you don't want to fall prey to the hoodie craze, there are various approaches that you can try to recycle an old hoodie that you don't wear anymore. Web surf over to google and there are thousands of pages on how you can turn your old hoodie into something new and more useful that your hoodie ever was.
