If you want to feel on top of the world, you need to have loads of energy. Here are some habits to start forming which will super charge your day. Implement small changes that will eventually become habits. If you focus on developing one new habit each day, eventually you will do them automatically and you will have loads more energy at your disposal. Start implementing these great habits into your lives. 1. Drink More Water Make sure you have a good source of pure uncontaminated drinking water close at hand all the time. Keep a water bottle with you, and in that way you will be tempted to drink more. Even if you only drink a few sips every hour, it all adds up. Aim to finish about two liters daily. Water hydrates us and also cleans out our system so this is an easy way to stay healthy. 2. Chew your food Most of us don't chew our food enough before swallowing. Next time you eat aim to chew each mouthful of food at least thirty times. The food must feel like mush in our mouths before we swallow it. If we don't chew our food properly, we place undue stress on our digestive system, that will rob us of vital energy. 3. Add Something Fresh Try to add fresh fruit or vegetables to each meal that you eat. We need at least five servings of these a day, but the more you get the better. 4. Take a Break For each hour that you work, take a five minute break. Get up and walk around, do some stretches and think about something else. This will keep you fresh and enable you to put more energy into the tasks at hand. 5. Avoid Sugar and Junk Food This is a difficult one for most people, but this is the most common cause of weight gain. Cut down on foods that have too much sugar, like confectionery and sweets. You will feel so much better for it. Limit yourself to take-aways once a week at most. 6. Get Some Sun Okay we all know that too much sun exposure is dangerous, but get ten minutes a day. Make this in the morning, and you will be surprised how much this will energize your day. 7. Clear the Clutter from your Mind Keep a notebook close at hand, and write in it everything that comes to mind that you need to do, or even new ideas. This way you can free your brain to think of the tasks at hand, and not have it trying to remember a whole bunch of other stuff in the background. 8. Get a Full Nights Rest Yep, this one is often overlooked. You need between seven and eight hours of sleep a night to function at your peak. If you start with one habit at a time each day, you will be amazed at how much energy you will have, and how much better you will feel.
