The IT job market has a very bright future if government statistics are anything to go by. America Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates that five of the ten top fastest rising jobs from now till 2014 will be IT jobs.

The Bureau has calculated the numbers and has released statistics about the expected growth rate of jobs with the skill requirements and median salary. Below are the top five fastest rising tech jobs based on the U. S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

#1 Network Systems and Communications Analyst

This can be a fastest growing job position in any industry statistically by the government. The expected growth rate of this job between now and 2014 is 54.6%.

Companies are ever growing. They therefore regularly need to carry out upgrades of their computer networks. They may even need to install completely new computer networks. Professionals with knowledge and skills in network architecture which includes designing, testing and carrying out a cost benefit analysis will certainly be on high demand.

#2 Computer Software Applications Engineer

The projected growth rate of this job between now and 2014 is 48.4%.

The high demand for new computer applications software will not end in the near future. Companies of all sizes will always need the assistance of software developers who can customize computer software in response to ever changing industrial and consumer needs.

#3 Computer and Network Systems Administrator

Estimated growth rate of this profession between now and 2014 is 38.4%.

It is a highly demanded job right now and will also remain that way later on. Many technology companies require network and computer systems administrators to maintain their computer networks.

These three IT jobs mentioned above are on very high demand right now. The data released by the Bureau expects these tech jobs to be the most sought after soon.

It is at the forefront of everything we do in life and has now progressed way beyond the geeky image it once had. More and more we have seen IT guys becoming successful innovators that have changed the way we live, the impact on the world of Twitter and Facebook could never have been imagined just a few years ago. Those of us that witnessed the birth of the Internet in the UK back in 1995, have seen world change faster than we could imagine possible. Mobile communications, GPS, social networking, ecommerce, these are all things that we could never have imagined, IT is cool!
