The Cat in the Trash

By : Grubb Young

People might have seen the story about the girl in Coventry, England who threw her neighbor's four year old cat into a trash bin as a "joke." Right after responding to the subsequent uproar with "It's just a cat," the girl has since "apologized profusely" for her "lapse in judgment."

News reports have quoted the girl as saying the choice to place the cat within the trash bin was a spur of the moment choice and she thought the cat would be in a position to get out. The cat's owners had been looking and calling for it when they heard the meows and followed them towards the trash bin where they rescued the cat after fifteen hours of its captivity. The owners had a video security system that caught the actions of their neighbor who was identified right after the tape was placed on YouTube and Facebook.

It seems that individuals either like cats or they do not. Unlike canines, cats have an independence that some people just do not wish to deal with. Now granted, a cat with a full set of claws can do some harm to carpeting and cloth covered furniture, but then canines can do some fair quantity of harm to furniture with chewing on everything in sight.

Fortunately, most cats and canines aren't in a position to complete a great deal of harm to things like garage doors. Most garage doors are heavy metal, which is too difficult for the dog or the cat to completely harm. There are older garage doors of course that may have gaps that permit a cat to sneak in and out. The garage and garage doors of these days in some areas have replaced the barn and barn door of yesterday, a location for outdoor cats to hide and perhaps have their litters.

Yet individuals will still abuse the cats and canines comparable to how this lady did, without thinking of the consequences towards the animal or themselves. She is cooperating with the RSPCA and also the local police and so it seems is taking responsibility for her actions. Regrettably, you will find also cat lovers who have threatened her so the police need to protect her house.

So now you will find compounding wrongs. It was incorrect to place the cat within the trash bin within the initial location but it's just as incorrect to threaten the girl who did this. The cat and its owners are reunited and also the cat is most likely being pampered with love and treats to help it overcome the ordeal. Most likely the cat will remain around the home for the foreseeable future and remain close to her human companions.
