The glamour in network marketing is the money. It is exciting to think that you can supplement your income, or even get rich, with your own MLM business. However the products are the real key to long term network marketing success. In this article let's take a look at what makes a mlm product really good for your business, both today and in the future. 1. Basic commodity items. This just means that a product is used up and needed over and over again. Toilet paper, toothpaste, cleaning products,and food, are examples of a basic commodity. Everyday we all use things without even really thinking about it. When you look at a 50 year old mlm company like Amway you can see why they are still in business. Their main focus has been on providing quality products that people will buy next month too! 2. Unique products. If you can find an mlm program offering unique products join it. A unique product would be something not everyone else is doing. For me that eliminates nutrional supplements. That will probably make alot of network marketers upset. I am looking for a product you can not run down to Wal-Mart and buy. This could also be service. For example there are now mlm businesses in the grocer delivery category. That is not something you see everyday. 3. A quality product. This goes without saying really. Quality products are ones people want to keep using. It is easy to recommend these to your friends. You know they are quality because you are using them yourself. 4. Reasonably priced. Overpriced products do not do well for the long haul. Once the excitement wears off on the opportunity to make money if the product is sub standard the distributors stop buying them. To me a product that is over priced is hard to justify continuing to spend money on. I like a price range that I will keep buying the product even if I was not a distributor. 5. Quick pay retail checks. This is something the Internet has really made a difference in. In many mlm companies you can now get weekly pay when you sell a product. This is HUGE to the overall usccess of many small network marketers. People will not drop out of a business they are making money in. Weekly checks really help keep you motivated to sell more. A network marketing business that is actually retailing products is good for everyone. 6. Autoship. This takes the guess work out of retail selling in a mlm company. Let yoru customer automatically get their products every month. You do not have to call them to remind them to buy. You do not have to ship or deleiver the products. You do not have to collect from your customer. Autoship has really made long term product success a major part of why network marketing is thriving today!
