Cameras can be exorbitantly expensive. But don't let that prevent you from trying something new if you want to begin taking fine pictures. Photography is an art form, and a very therapeutic way to express one's creative instincts. You might want to try it out, but without spending an arm and a leg. One way you can avoid spending a week's pay in one fell swoop is by buying refurbished Canon cameras or refurbished Nikon cameras. These cameras have been returned to stores or manufacturers, tested for problems, and then resold at a lower price. Because there are laws against selling an open-box item as new, your refurbished Canon cameras can be opened, and never even used, before being returned and resold as refurbished. Refurbished Canon cameras should come with all of the factory supplies. You can expect a user's manual, batteries, wrist strap and everything else that comes in the new box. Sometimes even a case is included. Then why doesn't everyone buy refurbished Nikon cameras? Well, if the manufacturers let the cat out of the bag, no one would want to buy Nikon cameras at the full price, and then how would they make any money? However, there are exceptions. Some refurbished cameras actually have been used, and need new parts. Since refurbished Canon cameras don't say why or for what they were refurbished, consumers often take a shot in the dark. How does one obtain quality refurbished Canon cameras? Well, read on... -Only buy refurbished Nikon cameras that come with a manufacturer's warranty. Most will be for 90 days or more. -Check the camera dealer. If they are reputable, chances are you can rest assured. -Refurbished Nikon cameras from the factory can also be "pulls" from the assembly line that are checked for consistency of the product. Refurbished Canon cameras can also be excess manufactured Canon USA cameras, which cannot be shifted to the distributors, and so are repackaged and resold as refurbished Canon cameras. As long as Nikon stands behind their refurbished Nikon cameras and Canon stands behind their refurbished Canon cameras, you have nothing to worry about. Chances are you'll be getting a steal of a camera at a great price. When you choose Nikon refurbished cameras, there are lots of things to be happy about - many users report keeping their cameras for years before having any problems with them. Once you've bought your camera you can begin exploring how to use it. The skills and pictures you develop will last forever, and the extra money you save will allow you to feel good about cultivating your new hobby.
