With so many satellite TV and cable choices, today we thought we would evaluate another choice to watch TV. Viewing TV on the net is becoming more common so we wrote an article about watching live television on the web. Viewing TV on the internet isn't completely new, but just recently it has increased greatly in popularity because of improvements in technology and available channels. It wasn't long ago that the video and sound quality was very poor and there weren't many channels available online. The technology is to the level where you can watch thousands of channels and watch them all in superb quality. Admittedly I'm not used to viewing TV online, but when I was checking out internet TV for this article I was very impressed with what I saw. Let's discuss how you can watch television online. You are going to need to find an internet TV program to install on your computer. Let's talk about a few features to search for when you're searching for an online TV viewing software. First, make a point to get that you get a wide selection of channels. Naturally you want the major networks ABC, CNN, Movie Channel, CBC etc) but you should also get access to a lot of specialty channels as well. The best internet TV software programs will literally provide you with over a thousand channels. Another feature that I found is the ability to schedule and record your favorite programs. It's kind of like a "Tivo" - you can record whatever program you want so that you are able to watch whenever you want. This isn't a commonly available feature, but you can find it so shop around. You should also be given the option to connect your computer to your TV set if you want to be able to watch it on your main TV set. You need to also ensure that there aren't any monthly charges. The good internet TV programs will only charge you a one-time fee for lifetime access to their services. When you compare it to regular cable or satellite TV bill it's a great deal to simply have to pay the once. Avoid any program that charges you a monthly fee as you can find] a better deal. Altogether, I was really impressed with what I saw. The better online TV programs will cost you around $50 for full access which is a fantastic value. It's important to note, it is extremely addicting!
