Lighter - This type of fence is much lighter in weight then wood fences are. So carrying it to where you need to install it is much easier for anyone. 3. Durable - Aluminum fences are very durable and will stand up to a lot of different things like the weather. If you want a fence that will last for a long time, then this is definitely one of your best choices. 4. Protects your yard and home - With this fence you will be able to keep your pets and kids in your yard where it is safe and can help keep unwanted visitors out. Disadvantages: 1. Little more difficult to install - Installing this type of fence is not hard to do, but it is a little harder to do then it would be to install a wood fence. That is just because there are a few more steps involved and if it is not done right, then it can leave you with a fence that is not really sturdy. When you plan to install your fence yourself, you have to be sure that you learn how to do it correctly so that you end up with a fence that is sturdy and will be around for a long time to come. 2. See through - This type of fence doesn't provide you with much privacy because you can easily see through it. If this is not an issue for you, then this wouldn't be considered a disadvantage.
