Singapore Chefs - Do you want to cook the best stir fried Thai, Chinese or Vietnamese food? Do you know that cooking the best dish is not hard at all? According to the latest survey on top chefs around the world, the simplest and easiest stir fries can be prepared within 10 minutes. That's right, just 10 easy minutes provided you read the following tips.

Here are the big mistakes. People have not prepared the ingredients before cooking and create spills and over cook their food. The mistakes such as overheating the wok, making a mess of the ingredients on the bench top, burning your food, and worse of all burning yourself and causing injury!

How can you improve you stir fry skills? The answer is below!

To make an easy sauce base, add 2 teaspoons of salt, 1 teaspoon of sugar, a pinch of salt. Then you add the following for your style of stir fry: • For a Vietnamese style sauce, add 1 tablespoon of fish sauce and 1 tablespoon of tamarind, 6 mint leaves • For a Chinese style sauce add 2 tablespoons of oyster sauce and 1 tablespoon of sesame oil to the base, 1cm of ginger • For a Thai style sauce add 2 tablespoons of tom yum paste and 1 tablespoon of fish sauce oil to the base, 5 basil leaves

Easy tip 1 You don't need to toss your food like a professional chef. All you need to do is move the food gently so you don’t break the food into smaller pieces but stir gently but quickly so you don’t burn the food.

Easy tip 2 The secret is to choose local fresh produce that are in season. Avoid those nasty produce that are harvested in hydroponic plantations because they lack the flavour of soil grown vegetables and are grown from artificial fertilisers which can be bad for your health.

Easy tip 3 Lightly cook your meat or seafood first by adding oil to your wok and lightly stirring it until almost cooked. Then add water to the wok, bring it to the boil and then add the hard textured vegetables first. Then add the softer textured vegetables second. Cook for 10 seconds and drain.

Easy tip 4 Add 3 teaspoons of olive oil and put on high heat. When the wok smokes, add the garlic, onions and stir until brown, then add the meats, and vegetables and quickly stir. Lastly, add your sauce mixture and stir until evenly and in 2 minutes, your recipe is ready to eat.
