Some dream of traveling, while others work in locations where travelers visit. There are lots of wonderful places to find travel jobs. Nearly every state or province in North America, areas south of the border, or in other countries from east to west have jobs that cater to tourists.

Ski and beach resorts hire more and more people to fill service jobs. Ski areas need people to groom the mountain, run the ski lifts, and make hot chocolate for skiers. Beach resorts employ lifeguards, masseuses, bartenders and cabana boys. There are upper level and mid level management positions for individuals with experience supervising employees, or planning banquets and special events.

There are fewer travel agencies than there was previously, but you may still find large companies and government agencies that employ travel managers. A travel manager is responsible for maintaining passports, booking flights and hotel reservations for staff, and upon return, completing the travel reports and reimbursements. The few remaining travel agencies make their money by bidding on contracts to service federal or state agencies in the usa. Employees of that agency must book travel only through the contracted travel agency.

Working with tourists in interesting locations full of beauty, history or adventure can provide great lifetime memories as well. Most people who travel are out to have fun and enjoy this time later on in life. You are exist for them achieve satisfaction and happiness in their travels. If you'd prefer working with people by informing or entertaining then seek work in locations that bring in travelers. During peak travel seasons, summers and major holidays, are the best times to look for work. It could be feast or famine. The busiest time is called high season and this is the time you hope to secure employment. For some positions, you can collect tips as well as your hourly pay, and high season brings in higher pay. Whichever job you choose, enjoy your time and the perks that include the job.
