Have you ever cut yourself but it hasn’t healed quickly? Or have you ever had a wound that hasn’t healed up by itself? If you have, then you may have a wound infection.

Wound infections stop wounds and cuts from healing quickly or it may even never heal at all. Therefore it is important that you get the wound treated as quickly as possible or it will never heal properly. One of the best ways to may wounds heal is by cleaning it. Here are 5 secret tips how to clean wound infections.

1. Wash with sea water

Sea water is a powerful natural anti-septic. It helps kill bacteria and germs off of the wound. It also helps to keep the skin nice and healthy by hydrating the skin.

Sea water is also very cheap and accessible to use as a cleaning agent. All you need to do is to soak your cut with sea water for approximately 10 minutes a day.

2. Keep the infection dry

If you keep the wound infection moist and wet, then it is a nice place for bacteria and viruses to make a home in. Bacteria and viruses love moist warm areas like exposed wounds. Therefore, if you have an open injury or cut, it is best to dry all the pus, fluid or blood from the injury. This will stop further bacteria from entering and hence stops infection.

3. Never scratch or itch your wound

It is quite common for people to scratch and itch around the wound infection. This is because the infection is irritating and inflaming the skin around the wound. Scratching around the injury will cause further inflammation of the wound. It can also cause further bleeding and cuts in which the infection can spread to. Therefore, never scratch or itch around your wound.

4. Gentle soft massage around the site of infection

Gentle massage around the site of infection can help speed up recovery by increasing the blood flow to the wound. When you increase the blood flow around the infection, it helps to clean up the bacteria and infective tissue. This is because blood contains anti-bodies and repair materials which will help heal or clean up the infection.

5. Keep your body hydrated

The human body is most efficient when it is fully hydrated. Therefore to help up clean and heal the wound, you should keep yourself hydrated as much as possible. This means you must drink at least 8 glasses of water everyday.
