Are some people more creative than others? Do some people seem more genetically disposed to come up with all the good ideas? Have you ever been in a meeting or a discussion only to think, "Why didn't I think of that?" It would appear that some people are simply more creative than others. Maybe due to their upbringing, or their genetics. At least that's the convention wisdom. But guess what? The conventional wisdom (as it often is) is wrong.
Creativity is one aspect of mind power that is thought to be set. Like your height, or your eye color. The truth is, your creativity is more like a muscle. The more you use it, the more it will grow. People who are more creative are known to make more money, earn more profit in their business, and generally have a higher income. So what about you? You're in luck, as you are about to use a simple method based on self hypnosis, meditation, and a form of affirmations that can explode your creativity to genius levels.
The reason most people think they are not creative is that they think they don't have what it takes. The secret of people with the power to think outside the box is not what they have, but what they don't have. What they don't have are mental blocks keeping them from coming up with new and fresh ideas.
Your immensely powerful mind is structured like a huge, interwoven lattice. For every one node in this lattice, there are literally trillions of ways to get to any other of your trillion nodes. So why do we get stuck? Anxiety, pressure, fear of what will happen when we get the "wrong" answer. The good news is that with self directed mind control, you'll be able to tap your subconscious mind power to fast become the most creative person you know.
The secret to maximize, or at least use more of, your subconscious mind power is to get into a deep relaxed state. It is not altogether different than hypnosis. You start by sitting in a comfortable place, and counting slowly from ten down to one. With each count, take a deep, slow breath, and let it out more slowly than you inhaled it. This has an effect of calming the subconscious mind, so your brainwaves will slow from beta, or wide awake, to alpha, which is that relaxed, imaginative state you are in just before you fall asleep.
Once you are in this relaxed state, begin describing your ideal creative state. Describe what you see, what you feel, how you know that you are creative. While you quietly say your affirmations to yourself, use as much emotion as possible, in the form of gratitude and appreciation. You may say some things like:
I always think of new ideas. Those around me value my opinions and input. My ideas are creative, new, and profound. I always come up with new ways of doing things. I enjoy solving problems. I am exceptional at solving problems.
Play around with them until you get some that sound exactly right for you. Simply get into a relaxed state, and repeat your list of affirmations slowly, about five to ten times. Do this two or three times a day, and prepare to watch your subconscious mind power take over as your creativity easily skyrockets.
