Just key in the phrases "conversational hypnosis" or "self-help techniques" and you'll be bombarded with a plethora of web sites that are all trying to convince you that they are the best and you need them to remake yourself into a better version of you.

First of all, you would not really be searching the self-help topics if you didn't feel that you had a shortcoming somewhere. But can self-programming or hypnosis really help you?

Actually, they can! After all, it's proven that your subconscious mind, not your rational thinking that is actually the boss. Your innateness, instinct, and creativeness are all seated here, aside from the physical things that function without thought - breathing, growth, body repair, organ functions. If we had to consciously think of all this, we would probably be dead within hours instead of decades.

Now while it is your boss in the greatest sense of the word, there are ways that you can bend it and control it in order for you to reach even greater heights and stretch your potential in ways you've never dreamed of.

Tonight, before you sleep, give yourself a very simple test. Tell your mind, you are going to wake up at a certain time, let's say a few minutes before your alarm rings. In fact, picture it in your mind - create a movie where you can FEEL yourself waking up, feeling the cold chill in the room and looking at your alarm clock and reading the time, shutting it off before it rings. Concentrate on that scene and feel how happy you are to have been able to do that, and then go to sleep.

If you repeat this over a course of several days, like the twenty-one days that is the perfect amount of time needed to establish this new habit, then you will wake up at that certain time or within that time schedule everyday, no matter what time you go to sleep. You have just controlled your subconscious: your body clock.

Just to set your body clock, you have been able to tap into abilities that you were not aware previously. Now that you know how your subconscious works, what else can you tell yourself to do? Can you find and rid yourself of limiting thoughts concerning relationships, work, or money? What about building your self-esteem so you can aim for higher goals? Once you start using covert hypnosis on yourself, the sky is the limit.
