Fundraising was always important for schools and organizations to maintain their programs. With the downturn in the economy and the loss of revenue in many communities throughout the country, there are fewer and fewer state dollars going to the schools and organizations. Therefore, many many more groups are now relying more and more on fundraising for everything from sports team uniforms to special equipment to field trips. Money raised can help schoolchildren and the people supported by local organizations, not only in getting the items and programs they need, but it also helps them take pride in the money that is raised. Often they feel as if they earned the money that comes in. Plus, fundraising can be fun if you have a good or a unique idea. Some of the most common ways of raising money include bake sales, car washes, raffles, chocolate bar and candy sales, and dance-a-thons. These are all great fun, and rewarding ideas, but more and more, schools and organizations need to come up with new ways of raising money in order to attract supporters. Or you can use companies who will make your cookie dough for you and provide your fundraiser with support through the use of posters and fliers, and supply the necessary administrative paperwork including order forms. This is a convenient way of taking some of the pressure off your organizers. People will flock to your cookie dough campaign because they will appreciate being able to buy a half-made delicious treat that they can finish at home themselves. The interactive nature of cookie dough fundraisers, plus the delightful promise of warm, fresh cookies, is what makes this effort so enticing. These have proved to be some of the most popular in the country so it's likely you too will be successful, and make more than enough money to meet your target. So the next time you need a great fundraising idea, consider selling cookie dough. After all, who can resist a batch of freshly baked cookies?
