The Secret Pattern From Conversational Hypnosis That Will Get Any Idea Accepted

By : George Hutton

If you've ever found yourself in a conversation with somebody, and you wished you were a little bit more persuasive, or you wished there was a way you could get your point across, then you've come to the right place. With this simple language pattern you'll learn a quick way to slip your ideas right into the mind of your listeners.

The pattern comes from Milton Erickson, one the greatest hypnotherapists who ever lived. He helped countless people overcome incredibly difficult and complex emotional and psychological problems through simple, relaxed conversation. Of course, it wasn't any normal conversation, it was a powerfully developed set of language patterns known today as conversational hypnosis.

One of these patterns is called "Compound suggestions," and is a nearly perfect way to slipping an idea into the mind of your listener to get almost immediate acceptance. It involves coming up with two statements, or ideas. The first statement or idea is the one you'd like your listener, or reader, to accept as true. The second statement or ideas is one you are certain that the listener will accept as true.

These "true" statements can come from a variety of sources. They an be information that you've already elicited from your listener, or they can be general truths about people in general. Some general truths are statements like, "Money is good," or "being healthy is good," or "positive relationships are beneficial," or any other obvious statement.

It's important to keep in mind that the "true" statement should be somewhat related to the idea you are intending to persuade your listener of. For example, if you were persuading your listener to lose weight through a particular exercise program, you might follow it up with a general statement about health and fitness.

Here are some examples. Remember, the first statement is the persuasive statement, and the second statement is the statement of obvious truth.

Dollar cost averaging is the best way to make money in the stock market, and having enough money to retire is important.

Reading my articles on Ezinearticles is a great way to improve yourself, and self improvement is something most people strive for.

Enrolling in my investment seminar is the best way to increase your personal cash flow. Many authorities concur that having more than one source of cash flow is vital in today's uncertain economy.

Also, it's important to remember that you aren't limited to single sentence phrases. You can make your persuasive message as long or as short as you want, so long as you cap them off with a true statement.

A particularly powerful way to use this pattern is to make a persuasive statement, then make a couple of true statements, then make another persuasive statements, then a couple of true ones, and so on, and so on. Pretty soon you'll be dropping ideas all over the place that people will be taking as the absolute truth, giving you incredible powers of persuasion and influence.
