The Best Ways To Relax In The Shade

[Valid RSS feed]  Category Rss Feed - http://www.articlesbacklink.com/rss.php?rss=92
By : Debra Smith

From time to time everyone likes to relax in the shade, whether it's under an outdoor shade sail or a leafy tree. Here are a few that most people enjoy.

1. In A Hammock

Lazing away a long summer afternoon is most pleasantly strapped between two trees. If you're a hammock. If you're not, however, then reclining in one can be just as comforting, using your own bodyweight and the stretched material beneath you to find the optimum position for napping. Because you're beneath those trees you can comfortably rest, knowing that you'll be in the shade of their branches and leaves. Enjoy.

2. Underneath A Parked Car

Ever noticed how nobody ever looks for you under a parked car? The genius of relaxing somewhere that nobody would think to look for you is that you will have total peace and under a parked car you get total shade as cars are extremely sun proof, so just switch off your phone and chill.

Of course, there are some drawbacks to reclining beneath the exhaust pipe of a car, one of which is that there's not much space and that means it's often not the comfortable. You could put a blanket underneath to lie on or you could jack it up for a little more space, but the risk you run is that you'll be much easier to find. Also, if the car moves off you're likely to be injured in some way or another and if you were to be found underneath a car there's a chance your mental health would come into question. But if you're normally sane then nobody would think to look for you there in the first place. Problem solved.

3. In The Shadow of Plane

This can be trickier to execute because planes move very quickly when they are airborne and their shadow can often be difficult to find. However, like cars they are very sun proof. Moving at the same speed as the plane is challenging, as even if you are in a car the shadow it is unlikely to move above the road for too long, nor is it going to stop at traffic lights. If you can execute the manoeuvre of staying within the plane's shadow, however, you can kick back and relax, safe in the knowledge that you won't get sunstroke.

4. Underneath a Piece of Fabric

Stretch some fabric from one point to another, perhaps from a tree to a shed or some other such building and then lie beneath this. It can be very comfortable and very effective in blocking out the sun so you can chill in peace. Highly recommended.

Relaxing in the shade can be challenging at times, whether you want to lie in a hammock, under a car or chase the shadow of a plane across the ground.
