How To Hypnotize Yourself And Rewrite Your Past For A Better Present

Most everyone has some kind of limitations in life. Mental, physical, and emotional. Most of us can live pretty well within our own limitations. Some limitations, however, are self imposed, and can be dealt with easily. The limitations that are based on past memories of events, which give us trouble when we recall them are actually the easiest to change.

To start with, memory if even the most simplest things is much weaker than most people imagine. Have you ever been totally sure of something, so much you'd stake a lot of money on it, only to find out later that you were completely wrong? Most of us have.

They've even done experiments on college students to prove this.A professor would be lecturing, and a "thief" would come in and steal his bag from his desk. Later, when they talked to all the students separately, how they described the "thief" was extremely contradictory. White, Black, Asian, Hispanic, wearing a hood, not wearing a hood. It was a good thing that the "thief" was in on the experiment, otherwise the cops would have had nothing to go on.

So it makes sense then that your memories from your past, the ones that are limiting you being able to get what you want in the present, aren't likely accurate. And this is good news, since once you change them, they won't bother you any more.

Here's one way to change them. Simply sit back, take a deep breath, let it out slowly, relax, close your eyes, and think of a memory you'd like to change. Watch the memory from a neutral, third party position. As if you are some ghost from the future who has come back to watch the past.

Once you see the events that have unfolded, simply give them several different meanings. The more different meanings you can think of, the better. When you find one that doesn't sound so personal, and sounds halfway believable. Move on to the next step.

The next step is to replay the events again, in your mind, except this time, go into your old self, and witness the events from the first person, only give them the new meaning as they are happening. It helps to do this a couple times with a few different meanings.

Later on, when you go into a situation which used to give you trouble, your mind will automatically go back to that situation, and find several different interpretations of those events, and you don't feel any limitations any more. This may sound complicated at first, but once you do it a few times, it will get easier and easier. Pretty soon, life will look better than ever.
