The majority of struggling online businesses have failed to master one form of traffic generation. There are numerous ways to promote an Internet business. Hopefully you are using a least one of these top 4 online marketing methods. 1. Build an email list. This is still one of the most effective ways of driving traffic to your website. Blasting out an email to a quality list is a good way to get traffic back to your website or blog. As you develop a relationship with your subscribers your emails can lead to more sales. Therefore a high quality list can be a tremendous source of new revenue and profitability for your Internet business. You must use a reputable autoresponder such as Aweber to store your subscribers contact information. You should also set up a prewritten series of follow-up messages to drip information on your list. If this is not something you're comfortable with you can outsource that to a freelance writer. 2. Write and submit a lot of articles. I am talking about getting hundreds if not thousands of articles online where the search engines and readers can find them. The more articles you can get out in the marketplace the more potential good they can do for your Internet business. This can involve a lot of work, but the payback is worth it. Again if you struggle with writing or do not have time you can outsource this important task. Be sure and hirer someone who can write decent articles without a lot of grammar or spelling errors. Once you have your articles written you need to submit them to the top article directories. Automate this process with an article submission software or service to speed up the process and your results. 3. Use social media to your benefit. This should include adding a blog to your website. Keep fresh content coming into it on a regular basis. This can be articles as short as 100 or 200 words. If you are adding quality content the number of readers will increase. You should also be using video marketing. An easy way to do that is using an article converter site to turn your articles into videos. Then submit them to the top shared video sites such as You Tube for increased exposure. 4. I have saved paid advertising for last. In reality this may be the first thing you need to do. Paid advertising can bring you immediate results. Pay per click advertising continues to work when done correctly. Google Adwords dominates this arena, but Yahoo Marketing, Bidvertiser, 7Search, and other ppc programs have some really good buys. Hopefully you are using one or more of these top online marketing methods. By becoming an expert in for least one of these, you can make a big difference in the quality and amount of traffic you drive to your website.
