Having an elevator in your home may seem like one of those things that is either an impossible luxury or something that one would consider only if it were a medical necessity. Home elevators cost less than many other types of home renovations. In most cases, the overall cost is less than $20,000. If installation is a medical necessity, you may also qualify for a significant tax break simply by obtaining a note from your doctor (consult a tax professional to determine whether you could qualify). With all these advantages, and many more, a home elevator system may well be the right choice for you.
