In order to keep your body healthy, you must always watch the foods to eat for a healthier you. There is no shortcut to achieving a sound body by watching the foods to eat. Cheating on your nutrition will definitely have a negative impact on your health in the long run so do not go that route. Here are some practical tips that will surely take you to the right path to having a healthy body and mind:

- Eat more fruits and vegetables.

It's recommended that you eat at least five portions of different types of fruit and vegetables a day. These are among the important foods to eat.

- Eat more fish.

Fish is a good source of vitamins and minerals, and protein. Don't underestimate what fish can do for your health.

- Always base your meals on starchy foods.

Potatoes, cereals, pasta, rice and bread are included in the group of starchy foods. They contain fiber which makes you feel full longer.

- Cut down on saturated fat and sugar.

Most people eat and drink too much sugar. Sugary foods and drinks, including alcoholic drinks, are often high in calories, and could contribute to weight gain. They can also cause tooth decay, especially if eaten between meals.

- Don't get thirsty.

You need to drink about 1.2 liters of fluids every day to stop yourself from getting dehydrated.

- Never skip a meal.

Skipping a meal is never advisable. This will not only make you lose weight but also give you a headache. This is very important.
