Large numbers of people set out to make money online yet as time passes their actual results in terms of sales and profits are zero. So if people have the interest, the intention and some desire to set up an internet business, why then do most fail miserably? The answer is that there could be one major roadblock that is preventing any progress being made. And that major roadblock is called procrastination. It can be summed up by not taking the required action you know is needed by either delaying or switching your attention to something else. The trouble is if you do not take the action that is required to create and build an internet business by following a proven plan, how can you hope to make money online? Here are five signs that you may well suffer from procrastination when it comes to building a money making internet business. The first of these is that you would rather spend time reading about ideas than actually take the action necessary to implement them. The ideas capture your imagination, you think about how you could do it and the success that you could have, yet very soon you're reading about something else, the result being you are still in the exact same place as of yesterday or last week. Following on from that, the second sign is that once you have been intrigued and found out information about one idea, unfortunately you then change tack and get involved in researching another one a few weeks later. The third sign is that, after looking back over the last year, you realise that you were interested in several ideas that you found information on yet no real progress was made with any. Rather than taking the required action with just one, you made what you considered a legitimate excuse and moved onto another and then another one after that. It is called procrastination and you will never make money online if you continue to suffer from it. The next danger sign is the one that lots of online marketing wannabes are guilty of. You purchased two or more information products over the last year yet you have never actually taken the time to implement anything within these products. You may acknowledge that they contain very helpful information, but the sad fact is no action was taken. There is always what seems like a legitimate excuse to explain why this was the case. The fifth sign that you are prone to procrastination is that you check your emails at least twice per day, sometimes more often than that. It is actually an excuse that you use not to take action. You are busy checking these emails and then don't be surprised if something catches your eye and your attention is then drawn elsewhere. You secretly hide behind your emails as an excuse for avoiding what has to be done, that is to take action to get results which will, in turn, give you a fighting chance of making money online. If you recognise yourself in some or all of these signs then that is the first stage in changing your behaviour and getting you on the correct path to making money online. You need to stay focused on one idea and take action to make the progress required. It calls for discipline and work, but is that not the case for making progress with anything that will be worthwhile?
