Children love decorations and many of them will be more than happy to participate in making their own decors. Lifesize cardboard cutouts are used in decorating children's rooms and parties. These decorations are quite easy to make and many children find it fun to make their own. You will need some few things in order to come up with this type of decor. The board and the stand on which your photo will be placed should be prioritized. This will require you to look for quality boards made from hard paper or mulch. You will also need a stand and this can be made from soft plastic or a varied other materials. You should also look for a box cutter. This will be used in cutting up the board. Adhesives are also very important as they will be needed to stick up the picture of your choice onto the board. Cotton pads are used together with the adhesive. Making a picture decoration with your child will cost less and prove to be more fun. This is a way of spending time nurturing your kid's talents and helping them to engage in constructive activities. In order to carry out this exercise you will need to get cardboards, box cutters, adhesives and stands for your picture. It is important to decide which photos you want placed on the craft you intend to make. You can choose to use a family photo or the photo of an animal or a celebrity that your child likes. If you are going to take the photo yourself then it is necessary to use a good camera with high mega pixels. This will ensure that the picture is clearer and of higher quality. Once you have taken the right photo you will have to carry out some edits using Photoshop or any other software for your photos. This will delete the unnecessary details and improve the overall image of the photo. It is advisable to use a white background when taking the photo so as to ease the process of editing and give room for additional details. The edited photo will then be zoomed in in order to enlarge it. This can be really big or just average size depending on your preference. You can also choose to add captions of people speaking on the photo. This is however optional. The enlarged photo will then be printed out and the copy used on the board. While you can print the photo from home, this is only advisable if you have a really good printer which will not have any lines appear on the picture. After the board has been cut according to the image shape you can then paste the image onto it using the adhesive and the cotton pads. You will wait for it to dry and stick properly before you can place the board on its stand. This will then be displayed in your child's room or party. A life size cardboard cutout is a beautiful decorations and when made from home they give children a great satisfaction. If you do not have the time to make one from home then you can just take the photos you need to a photo-shop which specializes in making custom made decorations.
