It was a casual and ordinary day, when I finally decided to get myself into writing a journal. The inspiration came from a seminar I attended on making ones dream a reality. The speakers catchy line that kept on ringing in my ears was "start being a real walk person". A week after that seminar, I decide to take a breather from a busy life in the city, to a resort in the island with very close friends who also needed that vacation. The resort was situated beside a pristine beach in the tropics. It was a very private island yet you will be captured by its landscaping and how it maximized indigenous materials to make all things beautiful and exceptional. We enjoyed everything that the resort has to offer but the best about staying there was basically the chat we had with friends that opened a lot of possibilities for every one of us. The conversation went on and on as it was meant to inspire a dear friend on plans on getting a line of lamp shades into the market, another to give love another chance despite heartaches that seemed so endless and as for me to start a career as a landscaping artist. I noticed how my ideas kept flowing like crazy and the landscaping scenery added to the inspiration. Since then, the journal that I started was not merely filled with words then but with designs for different landscaping themes and projects I wanted to take on. When we went back to the city, I still kept my fulltime job as a school counselor but decided to spread my wings on getting in touch with my artistic side. I started passing proposals and designs to friends and neighbors that Id do the landscaping in their homes and businesses. At first, many didnt buy the idea because they thought I could not do it. But this didnt backed me off to fulfill my passion, instead it challenged me to show my creations. With friends who trusted and gave me the chance to do them landscaping, my work was a marketing statement that need not be contested. It was an attestation of my passion in the art of landscaping and my drive to share my talent. From then on, I became a household name for those who wanted landscaping jobs. As I looked back on how that seminar awakened the Goliath in me, and how journaling proved to be my fortress of brilliant ideas, I could never ask for more. When I decide to walk the talk, all the phenomenal things started to happen.
