Oktoberfest Party Supplies is about food and drinks, so include them in your party activities. While Oktoberfest is primarily a way for adults to drink large consumptions of beer why not give the younger adults fun party games to party the fest away. Be sure to put together a list of activities and games to be played while shopping for your Octoberfest party supplies and invitations. Beer Mug Race. This should put smiles on the faces of your party guests, when they watch a race wherein the players run around the party room, or track, holding beer mugs full of beer. The player who has the most beer at the end of the race is declared the winner. For young party guests give them a beer mug full of apple juice. Schlangenschwanz (snake's tail).Join The Schlangenschwanz. This game is played by party guest forming a line. The leader of the line must run around as fast as possible while others try and hold on. The first player in the line tries to grab the last player in the line. Toss The Beer Cap For Octoberfest. First line up a set of beer steins about a foot from each other. The object of the game is to throw the beer caps into the beer steins. Award points for each beer cap made with beer steins further away from the throwing line being worth the most points. Pretzel Throw. Make Pretzels of cut out pretzels shapes from several layers of cardboard. Once the shapes of cardboard are cut tape them together. with many layers of cardboard the pretzel will have enough weigh for throwing control. Just like in horseshoes, the pretzels are to be thrown at a pole in the ground. Parties inside can place a dowel on the floor and throw the pretzels at the target. This game is played like a game of horseshoes with points awarded for closest to the target and the pretzel hole around the pole. A Treasure Hunt For Octoberfest. Schnitzeljagd means paper chase in German, therefore, planning a paper chase treasure/scavenger hunt is an appropriate party game for an Oktoberfest party. In this game, the players will receive clues as to where the buried or hidden treasure is. In the clues, write down German words, with English translations, as well. Octoberfest Magical Chairs. Bavarian music will add to the festivities of this traditional game of musical chairs, and because there is usually so much beer involved, it could get magical. Add another dynamic to the game by making players hold their cups of beer or apple juice. Players must find a chair while holding onto the drink. Checkers With Bottle Caps. You can use a traditional checker board for this game, but use beer caps as the checkers to make it fun. Guests will get into the spirit of the Bavarian festivities when they participate in games at your next Octoberfest party.
