Residential Wind Devices: What Does The Future Hold?

[Valid RSS feed]  Category Rss Feed - http://www.articlesbacklink.com/rss.php?rss=92
By : Roger Brown

The future of residential wind energy devices has never been brighter. We are living in a time that is ripe for harvesting power from the natural environment.

These are the areas of technological improvement that hold the most promise going forward...

Residential wind devices that can make power in very low wind ecosystems - The turbine devices that can knock out some power with very little wind will be a driving force towards the growth of this industry. If you can make electricity when the wind is blowing at less than 1 mile-per-hour, then you have a tremendous product on your hands.

As more and more of these products with super low wind speed capabilities come onto the market, the amount of units we will find out in the field will grow exponentially. And that is the case, this market will skyrocket and you'll see wind turbines on everyone's home. Gone will be the stigma of residential wind turbines and most communities will give up on their restraining and permitting restrictions.

Horizontal devices with small footprints that can be put almost anywhere - Your ability to put a wind turbine in a very small area will have a tremendous impact on the market at large. The smaller the area required, the better. Eventually, we may be able to make these devices portable and and reliable at the same time. But now the problem is though that horizontal wind turbines take up an inordinate amount of space. They have tail sections and rotor pathways that are very limiting and will keep them from being installed in a lot of locations where wind turbines would be effective.

Super-easy to install systems that anyone can get up and running fast is a real benefit - At the moment wind turbines are not the easiest things in the world to install. They are not plug-and-play by any stretch of imagination. They require in many cases, the services of an expert electrician. Or, someone who is very familiar with installing devices that the utility approves of. In conclusion, the future of wind turbine technology in America is very promising.

The residential wind device is getting a lot of attention these days and the technological improvement will result from so many of these devices being out in the field and the market growing as fast as it is will have tremendous positive pressure on the acceptance of these devices by the general public, which can only lead to even greater technological improvements.
