You've probably seen television commercials advertising some of the low-end power juicers and you'll have noticed that they aren't exactly the most attractive machines going. Neither are they built to last and it's for those reasons that I chose the Breville 800JEXL Juicer as our family's juicer. Not only is the 800JEXL a stylish addition to our kitchen countertop, but it is also fast, strong, and as solid a juicer as you'd ever hope to buy. The Breville 800JEXL Juicer is made from die-cast steel housing, and its stainless steel finish makes it look good in any kitchen. The tube is large enough (three inches) to take almost any piece of fruit, and the cutting disk is plated with titanium so it should last forever. The cheap juicers that are on the market today are built nothing like this one. It was easy and intuitive to assemble. The pieces are well designed and its parts are solid. There are only three settings: high, low, and off - so it's very simple to use. It hums, but its noise level is not what you'd describe as overpowering. The chute is wide enough to handle big pieces of fruits and veg without extra preparation. Finally, the Breville 800JEXL Juicer comes with a 13,000 RPM motor, so it can get through even the hardest fruits and vegetables with ease, dumping all the pulp in the pulp container, and letting the wonderful juice fall right into that pitcher. Your family will adore all the new, exotic drinks that you'll be making them. It does have a couple of drawbacks, though it may be that all juicers have these issues. It has many different pieces to keep track of, some if which are dishwasher safe and others which are not. Since you have to wash the pieces pretty much every time you use it, it can get to be a lot of work. Also, there is a little bit of splatter between the cover and the pulp container which is not a huge issue, but certainly noticeable when you're juicing beets. If I were to recommend a juicer to anyone, it would be none other than the Breville 800JEXL Juice Fountain Elite. I have tried some of the less expensive ones and they are not built to last like this one. The fact that the Breville 800JEXL Juicer is so attractive is simply an added bonus for me.
