For some reason, a majority of people are against riding a push bike to work. Some people have the misconception that riding a bike to work is not smart and a dangerous idea. Here are 5 simple reasons why riding a bicycle to work is the smartest and best thing you should do! 1. Riding a bicycle can make you really fit! If you want to get healthy and fit, then riding a bicycle is the best way to get in shape. When you are riding a bike, it makes your cardiovascular system work really hard. This will make your lungs and heart really strong. Riding a bicycle also strengthens your legs and arms in which you have to control and push the bike. So if you want to get fit and healthy, riding a bicycle to work is the way to go. 2. You can avoid the rush hour traffic When you ride the bike to work, you can avoid rush hour traffic on the roads. For instance, when going through traffic jams, you can simply dodge and navigate yourself through the clogged up cars to reach your destination. You don’t have to wait for the car to move, you just simply navigate around it. 3. Easy to park With automobiles, you have to find parking to park your car. Especially in the cities, it is especially difficult to find a place to park. In some instances, you may have to wait minutes or even hours to find a park in the city. But with bicycles, it is easy to park nearly anywhere in the city. All you need to do is find a pole or bicycle stand where you can lock up your bike with. Sometimes if you are lucky, you can bring your bike into your workplace and park it there. It is more convenient parking your bike than a car. 4. It’s cheaper With a bicycle, you don’t have to worry about paying for petrol, parking or registration. It is also very cheap to purchase a bicycle compared to a car. With a car, you have to get a big long term loan to purchase one. Hence, it is more cheaper to purchase a bike. 5. Better for the environment With a bike, you don’t burn any fossil fuel or contribute to global warming. You don’t use any electricity when riding a bike, and you don’t damage fauna or flora compared to riding a car.
