Printing is a part of everyday life in businesses. They use them for so many reasons. They use them for everything from making badges for employees to making membership cards. One of the printers they use is the Datacard printer. We will tell you about a few of these.

The first we will tell you about is the CP40 Plus card printer. This is a convenient and easy to use printer. They can produce high quality photo ID cards. It does one sided ID cards or badges. On this one you can add magnetic stripes and the smart cards.

Another one is the CP60 Plus. This printer has smart card, proximity card, bar code and magnetic stripe options. This printer can do one sided or double sided cards. It also does photo ID's with great color and clear vivid pictures.

The CP80 Plus is the next printer we are going to tell you about. This powerful printer is used for government programs and big corporations. This printer will use high security lamination on the ID cards. This printer will do smart cards and magnetic coding. Each step that you go up can do more.

This is just one kind of printer that is available on the market. There is actually many more to choose from.

The one thing they can be used is as an ID badge printer.

Why have so many employers decided to go to using ID badges for their employees? There are actually several reasons. The badges that are made with an ID badge printer are beneficial to a company. First of all these ID badges can be used at a time clock. The badges will either have bar codes or a magnetic strip on them. When an employee is clocking in or out then they will swipe the card and the information is sent to a computer. Now if the employer has a question about an employee's time they only have to look on the computer.

As you see this will save the employer from doing a lot of paperwork. These ID badges are also beneficial because they can have features on them that will only allow them to gain entrance to certain places. If the company has high security rooms like a money room only the employees that work in there will gain entrance with their badge.

These printers can add special features that can be put on the cards. First of all they can add photos to the card if they want. This can be an added security to the employee cards. They can also choose whether they want the cards to be printed on one side or on two.

They also can add security marks. These security marks can protect the cards from being altered. These can be in a watermark or Holograms. It is a great idea that a business knows exactly what they expect of a printer before they go buy one.
