Many online made marketers make the mistake of getting in a hurry to write their article. This can be a mistake because you are shorting yourself by not writing the best article you possibly can.

There are a few things you can do to get your article ready to submit to article directories and make it the best article it can be. Here are three of them!

1. Stay focused on the primary theme of your article. Your article should be written to provide useful information to the reader.

Because most articles submitted to article directories are around 400 words you do not have a lot of time to accomplish your goal. Articles that jump around without focusing on a theme may not be approved by an article directory anyway.

If your articles provide useful information, that is focused on one theme, the reader will feel good about reading it all the way to the bottom of it. This of course is where they will find the resource box waiting for them to click on your website URL.

2. Target a keyword phrase in the title, and in the intro and closing paragraph. Then use variations of it as it sounds natural in the body of the article.

So you are not over using your primary keyword phrase spend a little time proofreading your article and making changes to it. Most article directories today do not want a keyword density of more than 2% to 3%. If you find yourself over using your keyword phrase your article will probably not be accepted by the article directory.

The other reason you want to target a keyword phrases is for search engine optimization benefits. Focusing on a specific phrase can help you get that article ranked by a search engine for it. When you write around one specific keyword phrase you are helping the search engine know exactly what that article is about.

3. Proofread your article a second time for common mistakes such as improper grammar and misspelled words. One way to effectively do this is to read your article out loud to yourself.

Start at the bottom of the page and read up to the top. You will be surprised at mistakes youndidn't know were there when you proofread the first time.

Your article is ready to submit to the article directories once you have done all of these steps. Your goal should be to submit it to a handful of the top directories online.

This will do you more good than mass submitting it to many directories that people or search engines do not visit on a regular basis.
