Letting go is never easy especially in terms of sentimental value. What if you are in dire need and the only valuable thing that is left in your jewelry box is your wedding ring? Would you still be willing to sell it? It can be a huge dilemma. People hold on to wedding rings for so many reasons. The most important of all is its sentimental value. It may be easy for those couples who have separated to let go of a wedding ring, but for couples who have held on to each other may have a hard time deciding on it. If things get worse by the minute and the only option is sell wedding ring, just make sure that you have no regrets after doing it. When you sell wedding ring, you do not just sell it ordinarily. Wedding rings that are made of gold depend on external factors like the foreign exchange. If the dollar rises, the value of gold goes down. But, if the dollar goes down, the value of the gold can rise as high $1000 per gold bullion. If they are made of other metals and gems, still you need to consider this. 1. Act as if you are not in dire need to sell it. Let the buyers think that you are fishing for a higher value. Buyers are very keen with the persons they are dealing with. If they sense that you are in need of cash and that selling your wedding is your last resort, they will give you the lowest value ever. 2. Fish around. It does not hurt to have your wedding ring appraised by different buyers. With more buyers that will appraise your wedding ring, you will have the average value of it. This will also give you the benefit of having one jeweler to sell more of your other jewelries in the future. Wedding rings and other jewelries can be sold, trust is another thing. 3. Look for a jeweler or a buyer that has been in the business of buying wedding rings and other jewelries for more than 5 years. The longer the jeweler is in the business, the more it is likely that they know the fair value of your wedding ring. 4. If you decide to sell your wedding ring online, one thing you should consider is their mailing address. If their address pertains to a building location with a building number and street number, you may consider that. If what they offer is just post office box and a website, do not deal with them. Always remember, bogus buyers have different ways to lure their customers. 5. Choose a buyer that will purchase all types of gold 10 karat to 24 karat gold. They are most likely to have the knowledge and the right jeweler to be dealing with. There are some companies that will only buy 14 karat gold and higher, there is no wrong with that. But what if you want to sell wedding ring with 10 karat value only? 6. Most important, before you even send or sell wedding ring in exchange for cash, read the companies terms and conditions first. This is important if you sell your valuables online. Make sure that the company you are dealing with will return your wedding ring if you think that the price is not reasonable for you. The price of the gold, diamonds and jewelries changes daily. Make sure you are updated with the pricing so that you will not be misled with the pricing.
