Concerns That A Markets Orator Might Discuss

A marketing speaker will have a plethora of material to choose from when speaking on the subject. With the ever growing popularity of the internet, many topics covered include this as an outlet for portraying a companies message.

Social Media is a relatively new area but a very important one that most definitely should be covered. This outlet is about communication and engagement and provides an easy and free way to reach consumers. Smart companies are following what is said about them on social media and responding appropriately. It gives the brand a more personable feel and allows the customer to feel closer to them.

Search Engine Marketing (SEM) is another relatively new area that should be given some attention by marketing speakers. It is the process of placing advertising on a search engine like Bing or Google. It serves the purpose of directing traffic to a website and to increase recognition of a brand. There are two ways to use SEM. One way is to pay for every click that is made on an ad. This can be a very cheap method, sometimes costing only pennies per click depending on the demographics chosen and the competition for chosen keywords. The other way is to pay a fixed price per thousand exposures.

Search engine optimization (SEM) is another area that may be covered. It is a method of designing your website so that it will show up in the top results of an organic web search. This means that when someone searches Google or another engine, the website will show up in their search results close to the top of the first page without having to pay for exposure. Some ways to do so are to use certain key words to improve your relevance rating or to be linked to from other websites.

The content on the website itself is also another likely topic. Many company sites look like online brochures and are not appealing to many online consumers. Unless they are looking to buy something right at that moment there is nothing for them to do but leave. Improvements suggested may include encouraging interaction by posting information that consumers may find of help.

One of the topics that is covered in almost every speech is word of mouth. This is one of the most powerful ways people learn about your business. The internet plays a major role in word of mouth these days, especially since it does not distort the message, and so it is likely this will be mentioned as an appendage to one of the previously listed topics.

Finally, it is likely that some traditional methods of reaching consumers will be covered. There is still a large market out there that reads print media, for example, newspapers and magazines, and are niche markets that may be perfect for your business to reach. Television, radio, billboards, and sponsorships are also possibilities.

Marketing is more than just advertising. There are many other topics marketing speakers may cover. Most of the time it depends on the venue and the reason the speech is being made. It would take years to speak and listen to them all as it is ever evolving.
