Blocks: Defensively speaking, blocks are very important. They are how you will protect your body from your attacker's strikes. Most of the time you will be using your arms to stop a physical attack, but sometimes you can use your legs too.

Submissions: Joint locks and choke holds are examples of martial arts techniques known as submissions. These are very effective. If your opponent doesn't give up, he can suffer serious injuries.
