Those creepy crawly and four-legged furry critters need to stay outside but sometimes they don't. Our homes are warm and dry with plenty of food to entice all kinds of animals. Why wouldn't they want to come in and share the wealth? However, some animals and insects carry disease and can bite or sting. When they try to take up residence inside the home, it is time to call a pest control professional to remove them. No matter how tightly closed up the home is, a mouse will find a way to wiggle or chew his way in. The breeding starts before they are even inside. When a cache of food is found an ant will go back to its nest leaving a strong scent trail for thousands of other ants to follow back to the food source. Once they are inside, it takes the expertise of a professional to successfully eradicate all of them. Cockroaches are associated with dirty living conditions in our culture but that is a myth. A cockroach will love a clean house as much as a dirty house. They are looking for food. An interesting fact about the so-called dirty cockroach is that studies have shown that a cockroach will clean itself after coming in contact with a human. Cockroaches are one of nature's tough survivors, but professional exterminators have ways of convincing them to leave and not come back. Wildlife from squirrels to snakes to raccoons are often found taking up residence in basements and attics of residential homes. A qualified pest control agency is the one to call to remove the critters that want to make your home theirs as well. Wildlife operates on instinct. They are not domesticated pets like the family dog or cat. They will bite if they are cornered or feel threatened, and they can be infected with rabies or as in the case of some snakes, be poisonous. Don't go it alone. Let the professionals remove wildlife that has moved in. Modern pest control agencies use state-of-the-art equipment and chemicals that are safe for use in or around the home. Over-the-counter sprays and traps can be accidentally misapplied or misused causing harm to the person trying to use them or family members who come in contact with them.
