When selecting the top colours for your bar stools you must first decide what material you will want them to be made from. The best material for long lasting good looks is leather. The more used leather gets the better it looks. It is durable and versatile. Leather comes in many different colors so if you can budget leather into the decor that would be the first recommendation. Acrylic is the second choice for a durable and affordable material for barstools. When the stools will be used by the public where there will be a lot of wear and tear taking place this material can withstand the beating. The acrylic look is not as timeless as leather however but the other room elements can help to alleviate this. Transparent acrylic would create the illusion of more space in the establishment as well as a retro futuristic look such as the googie period. White acrylic will add a contemporary sterile look and take up space visually. Neon-like colours like lime green or canary yellow would be suitable for an ultra-funky look reminiscent of the 1960s. If affordability is a priority then faux leather should be considered as a viable option. It resembles leather close enough that people cannot tell the difference. There are more barstool styles available with the fabric such as the Roma bar stool, the Detroit bar stool and the ultra modern looking bar stool uk. Visually black will not take up the space like white does. It will recede into the background but lends a touch of class. Depending on the size of the room two or three pieces in black will lend a sophisticated silhouette to the room. If warm, organic browns are desired then a popular colour that compliments brown is blue. The upholstery should be a mixture of the two with barstool legs in blue. These two colours have proven that they work well together in many different shades. Naturally varnished wood is valued for its aesthetic appeal but can be busy looking and get easily swallowed up if the rest of the room is equally visually active. Varnished wood is best viewed with plenty of light to reflect the natural beauty of the wood grain. Reduced lighting is best for darker varnished wood such as mahogany. One must also keep in mind that many men are colour blind. This means that they will not be able to differentiate between red and green. It will all look like different shades of brown to them. If the barstools are going to be used in a public place then it would be a good idea to bear that in mind. Animal prints or basic white and black might be the best option in this situation. Barstools are not only utilitarian but they are useful in merging colours and forms. Even inexpensive barstools that one can paint will create a stunning interior decor. If at a loss about what colours to choose, try a basic black or white first. Often it is all that is needed for the desired effect.
