When many women leave the house, they sport an impressive artillery of accessories and fashion items. Many of these are non-essential and could simply be left at home, but there are a few important designer fashion accessories that every woman should have close at hand to stay looking cool and fresh in any situation. 1. A great bag. This is perhaps the most crucial of designer fashion accessories. Whether you like Kate Spade bags, Ed Hardy bags, another designer or a convincing knock-off, a great bag is your lifeline during the day. For that reason, it's important to get have a bag that's not only stylish, but also fully functional. You'll want a designer bag that is large enough to hold everything you need, but small enough so as not to be cumbersome under your arm or in your hand. You'll also want plenty of differently-sized pockets to keep track of small items that would otherwise get lost, like your keys and phone. And the material should be durable, washable (by hand or even by machine), and able to handle 2. Gorgeous shoes. You may have already organized an entire section of your wardrobe around beautiful in an unusual color or style. Great shoes show off your taste and attention to quality as no other fashion accessory can do. The best news is that designer shoes for women have never been more attractive or affordable. With a little bit of research, you'll be able to sport beautiful footwear that's as styled and put-together as the rest of you is. 3. A great hat. Great hats have never gone out of fashion. The fact that in modern times hats are rarely seen on women in public only demonstrates that impeccable fashion is indeed rare. Choose a wide-brimmed hat that protects your skin from sun damage, a small classic pillbox, or a Victorian-style hat covered in intricate decorations like bird feathers and synthetic fruit. 4. A great piece of jewelry. A fabulous piece of jewelry goes with any outfit and will enhance your appearance immediately. Just a few tiny gems can make a huge impact on any first impressions you make, but your jewelry need not be outrageously expensive. Even a small diamond instantly lends class and style to your entire ensemble. But gold and jewelry aren't the only way to go—you might also find excellent designer art jewelry that has a similar effect for a fraction of the price. 5. A lightweight sweater. You never know when you might step out of a climate controlled environment at a pleasant room temperature into one that's just shy of comfortable. Those who live in colder climates might find the thermometer drop unexpectedly when the sun goes down. In hotter climates, you may end up in a movie theater or on an airplane with air conditioning running constantly on high. Whatever the case, a light-weight sweater or cardigan can easily be rolled up in your purse, at the ready for any situation.
