When you hear the term inspirational speakers, different things come to different individuals minds. The thoughts are ultimately good ones. They are ordinary people who have been through extra ordinary circumstances and triumphed over them. This is why they are an inspiration to the rest of the world. Their purpose to to show others how they did it. Motivational speakers can however, only assist you to a certain extent in the workplace. The majority of the influence is left to the managers and bosses. Staff often agree that they are simply not given enough thanks for the work they do and this makes them feel like they are not needed or significant to the company. Most managers take the act of showing appreciation for granted.They may feel that their workers don't need it or its not a priority. Some managers may even think that they are too busy to spend a little time showing their staff how important they are. Perhaps they even feel like it has no bearing on the employees performance. It is simply human nature to flourish when given praise and recognition. Money is one of the ways that appreciation can be shown and often is the easiest and less hassle free one. When it comes to human nature, it is true that being acknowledged for your good work often means more to people than what you put into their bank account. Ignoring the significance of showing staff appreciation is perhaps one of the biggest blunders of management and bosses. Managers should be showing appreciation to the staff, which actually doesn't cost anything than suffering the consequences later. The most obvious outcome of being ignored and not be acknowledged for you hard work is often poor performance. Staff become demotivated to the point where they can no longer carry out their job description the way they once used to. This may be deliberate, but this is how the human mind works. It is crucial that people are recognized for doing good. The more appreciation they are shown, the better their work performance will be. People thrive on gratitude, this affects how you feel and then how you think, which in return affects what you say and inevitably your actions. So it is in the best interest of the manager and the company to show staff the appreciation they deserve. It will also help performance to either remain stable or become better. When people feel they are needed, they will perform like there is no tomorrow. Motivational speakers can do a great job, getting people to think positively, but that is as far as they can go. The rest is up to the employer. It is important that you show gratitude to the staff member for a job well done sooner rather than later.The longer you wait to say thank you, the less effect it has on that employee. You should also be specific in your appreciation and let your staff know exactly what you are appreciating them for. Appreciation is accepted best when done publicly. It is something transparent and the fact that someone is getting recognition openly and in front of the rest of the company gives that person a boost of confidence that can be compared to none.Inspirational speakers can show employers how to motivate their staff.
