Treasure Your Travels With Charms

Often people that have to travel a lot for business run out of ideas of what to bring home for their loved ones. After all there are only so many coffee mugs, baseball hats or t-shirts that one person really needs. Instead of buying something like that, why not start your partner, spouse or girlfriend on a charm bracelet of the places that you go?

Finding charms and ideas for charms about every place that you go can be a bit of a test of your creative skills. Of course if you go to a major city or area there is likely to be a special type of charm just for that area, typically a famous landmark or building.

Some of the famous landmarks in the United States could include a charm of the White House, charms of the Golden Gate Bridge or even a charm of Mount Rushmore. Each and every state will have its famous building or landmark, all you will need to do is a bit of research to find out what it may be.

Another option, even if you only travel within the United States, is to start a collection of charms of the states themselves. Each state in outline with the name of the state on the front will make a great collection of charms over time. You can do the same with countries you travel to outside of the USA as well.

For international travelers there are lots of different options for travel charms. Paris has the Eiffel Tower, Italy the Leaning Tower of Pisa and London has the famous landmark of Big Ben. Other cities in Europe and around the world also have their own famous buildings that can make a beautiful addition to a collection of charms.

All areas also have industry that is particular to that area. Charms that feature these types of business ventures can lead to a very unique type of bracelet. From Texas you could select and oil well and from Alaska a fishing boat, while from Wyoming a tractor or a sheaf of wheat would be a good match.

Some countries and areas have minerals and gems that are uniquely associated with the area. You may be able to find charms that feature these beautiful precious and semi-precious stones. Not only are these types of charms colorful, but they add a richness to any bracelet or collection.

Bringing charms home as a gift to those that couldn't go with you is a wonderful tradition to start. You could always ask them what types of charms they wanted you to find while you were away, then be able to show them how much you care when you bring them home.
