We are all aware of the need to be environmentally conscious these days, but did you know that it can start with your cup of Joe? This is interesting way to integrate greener choices into your lifestyle, especially with the use of old coffee grounds.

Many people may be aware that used Java grounds help to rid the body of cellulite, which is truly much less expensive than many of the cellulite treatment products on the market. Start out by mixing a tablespoon of olive oil, used coffee grounds, and a quarter cup of warm water. You can apply this mixture to your problem areas and cover with Saran wrap for 20 minutes. Afterward, shower as usual, and you will notice that your skin is significantly smooth. The reason for this is that coffee contains caffeine, which is a vasodilator that pushes water from the surface of the skin. this is a simple treatment that will remove cellulite pockets in the skin, also called cottage cheese.

So what else are old coffee grounds good for?

1. Exfoliation. Use old Java grounds in the shower to scrub the surface of your skin to remove dead skin cells for a beautiful glow to your complexion!

2. Add used Java grounds to your shampoo when washing your hair. For brown hair, this can slightly darken the color, and it will also soften your hair and add shine.

3. Use old coffee grounds to add to plants that flourish in acidic soil. This is a helpful and handy fertilizer to provide nutrients to your plants.

4. Mix radish and carrot seeds with dried coffee grounds before you plant them to improve your harvest.

5. You can sprinkle the grounds as a natural ant repellent in areas where you have ants.

6. Help to keep cats out of the garden by sprinkling grounds with orange peels around your flower beds.

7. Use used coffee grounds to cut out odor. Place a bowl of old coffee grounds in the freezer to neutralize unwanted odors, and for an even better result, add a few drops of natural vanilla extract.

8. Use old Java grounds to wash your hands when cutting garlic or onion to neutralize odor.

9. Scrub abrasively with used Java grounds on any surface with deep stains. Of course, beware of any delicate surfaces that could stain with the coffee color.

10. Rub used coffee grounds on your pet when washing them. The grounds will work to naturally eliminate fleas.

11. Help to keep worms alive by mixing used coffee grounds into soil to promote worm activity and growth in your garden.

12. Make a mixture of wet Java grounds to cover and remove scratches on furniture.

13. Sprinkle wet coffee grounds over the ashes in your fireplace to prevent dust from covering your living room when removing the ashes.

14. Use the grounds to dye paper, fabric, and Easter eggs for household craft projects.

There are an unbelievable amount of household uses for old coffee grounds? These ideas are only the tip of the iceberg...
