Facts To Know About The Invicta 8926

Watches are used for many reasons it could be to tell the time, it could be used as a fashion accessory, but do we know the history and what battles they have encountered during the past to become such a useful tool? Mentioned below is an example of one of the types of these modern innovations towards the technological area. As we all know, watches were practically since the beginning of time and have evolved into electronic devices rather than just solar.

The Invicta 8926 is usually thought of as a "beater," a term used by horologists, or timepiece fanciers and connoisseurs, to designate a watch meant for everyday wear - and subject to everyday wear and tear. These are not watches to be treasured for their make or beauty but intended for casual accompaniment on the job or at play. But since it is an Invicta - Latin for "invincible" - they are reliable to last past any task. Its handsome silver tones suggest the classical elegance of a so-called "dress quartz" from more formal times, and it is more compact than something like the chronographs found on professional divers and aviators.

An Invicta 8926 is part of the company's Pro Diver collection of fashionable but tough automatic timepieces, at a big 43mm of stainless steel casing rounded by a unidirectional bezel that reads easily and turns well, solidly locking onto every number while aligning perfectly with twelve o'clock. The standard Invicta bracelet that attends the 8926 is fairly substantial, with a heavy clasp and no sharp edges. The diver's buckle is a straightforward affair, and everything is highly polished for an eminently professional look that belies its beater destiny. Invicta's own Tritnite paint is used on the hour and minute hands for visibility in conditions of low lighting, and the mineral crystal is also exceptional for its price-point.

The 8926 is heir to a grand tradition of excellence first envisioned in 1837 by founder Raphael Picard of La Chaux-de-fonds, Switzerland. Wishing that quality Swiss timekeeping were available at a more moderate price-point, he and his descendants have sought to innovate and expand the company's offerings throughout the years, with the 8926 but one of many very capable watches branded with the label of Invicta. Engineered for precision but styled for fashion, an 8926 is suitable for any occasion and just about any task.

This model is targeted right at the Rolex Daytona, to which it compares favorably on many points, particularly cosmetic ones, as well as when taking the price into consideration. But while an Invicta is not a Rolex, only a horological purist could object, since for the vast majority of everyday situations Invicta timepieces get the job done at price-points that fulfill the company's founding ideals. So when in the market for multifunctional chronographs of high quality and low cost, the Invicta collection should definitely be considered for value and performance.
