Within the sphere of business there is a lot to be said for having "green" credentials. Adhering to regulations regarding the environment can be a form of business itself. Consider for example carbon credits which have evolved from the necessity to lessen the amount of carbon dioxide which is released into the atmosphere; these credits are traded for large sums on a daily basis. Speakers can teach companies how to reduce their carbon footprint, which in turn reduces their need for carbon credits. By reducing their carbon footprint, companies might end up with carbon credits they do not require and which they can therefore sell, which provides excellent company capital. Customers or clients can hold a company's environmentally-friendly approach to business in such high regard that they transfer their loyalty (and hence their money) from a less expensive but less eco-friendly company offering to a greener but more expensive company offering. Inspirational speakers that can provide information on how to carry out business in an eco-friendly manner are a great tool for a company to utilise in order to help them retain and grow their customer base. For example, utilising sustainable resources helps to preserve the environment and helps to keep a company's costs in check (non-renewable and non-sustainable resources will become increasingly expensive the rarer they become). By using sustainable resources a company enhances its eco-friendly image, which helps them to retain and gain more customers and/or clients. An excellent way to increase the attention your environmental-themed event receives and thereby to spread its message further is to hire a celebrity speaker for the event. A large number of the celebrity speakers out there are happy to give talks that focus on environmental issues. A celebrity speaker may for instance support a charity like the World Wildlife Foundation and such a speaker would be highly suitable for a conference that was focused on wildlife and natural habitat preservation. An organisation such as Fairtrade may hire celebrity speakers to address their events because the speakers support their green initiatives. Perhaps the celebrity speakers have visited farms supported by Fairtrade and can impart their experiences of the sustainable farming methods utilised to protect the environment. Through paying attention to celebrity speakers and hearing what they have to say on organisations like Fairtrade and the plans and processes they put in place to help preserve the natural world, people can be inspired to lead more eco-friendly lives. A speaker can enlighten an audience on an array of energy-saving and energy-producing initiatives that help to maintain the environment and can save people money. A speaker may point out that installing solar panels for example in an office building or a home is an effective way for homeowners and companies or businesses to generate their own energy which they can use and which therefore decreases the amount of money they spend on purchasing energy from other sources. It is our responsibility to behave in ways that help to preserve the environment, whether we are individuals or large companies, as no one else will ensure the natural world is protected for the people and wildlife that live on it. Speakers are an incredibly useful tool for conveying to audiences of varying sizes that we must all play our part and be environmentally aware.
