Farming - You might be asking what farming has to do with reaching your goals. All too often our focus is on the final crop. When you plant a seed it doesn't produce fruit right away. You must prepare the soil and plant the seed and provide the right environment and support it and love it. It will grow!! Take Care of You - Have you ever noticed that when you spread yourself too thin nothing seems to go right? You need time for your family and work and household chores and shopping and the list goes on. Having everything to do seems to jumble the brain and it often seems difficult to think straight. It's very important to take time to slow down and be still. Oftentimes the answers that we've been searching for are inside us. But we missed them, because of all the noise of day to day life. Caring What Others Think - It's natural for us to ask our friends and our family what they think about what we've set out to accomplish. And as much as you want their approval, you might be letting any negative answers you get stand between you and your dreams. Before you let other people's opinions get in your way, consider the people that will benefit from what you have to offer. Self Talk - Negative self talk is a major contributor to people giving up on their dreams. It gets in their way and clouds their vision of the future. When the negative self talk comes into your head ward it off with positive self talk. For instance, if you say, "Will they like what I have to offer?" you're questioning whether you're good enough. You can turn that around by saying, "I have something I'm really excited to share with the world." It won't be right for everyone, but stay excited about it. There are people out there who have been waiting for what you have to offer. Headlights - We all want results and we want them immediately or we tend to give up. It's the nature of the beast. Picture a car in the country in the pitch black with the headlights on low beam. You can't see very far. But you can see far enough to keep going. You can see far enough to know whether you're still going in the right direction to get to where you ultimately want to be. And with every step you take in the pitch black and the lights on low beam you get closer and closer to your ultimate vision.
