Spring is finally here, and with the coming of spring comes a lot of work. This is especially true, if you are a home owner that has a number of trees on your property. No matter where you live, winter storms and cold temperatures can do a lot of damage to all sorts of vegetation. You may be shocked to see the downed and scattered branches littering your yard in the aftermath of all that wind and blowing snow. There will be some clean up that you can accomplish on your own with your rake and wheelbarrow. However, when it comes to large and dangling debris, you had better call in the professionals. They can trim off the damaged limbs so that your tree's health is preserved for years to come. They can handle it all because they have the knowledge, the equipment such as cranes and specialized saws, plus the technique to do it right. A tree service will also take away the whole tangled mess so you won't have to worry about how to dispose of it. After all, most neighborhoods have strict laws about building fires, so there goes your plan to use up all that wood by having bonfires and roast marshmallow roasts each night. You might reserve some wood to stack and age for future use in your fireplace. Speaking of rules and regulations, a tree service is required to carry the appropriate liability insurance, in case of an accident. When it comes to pruning and trimming trees, there are rules that should be followed in order to preserve the health of the particular species. If your tree flowers before May, then it should be trimmed after the blooming is over. If your tree flowers after May then it should be trimmed between January and March. A cherry tree, should be trimmed in the late part of the summer, but an evergreen can be clipped just as soon as you notice any dead branches. There is no job that a skilled tree service can't handle. If you have trees and bushes that have grown too close to the sidewalk or your neighbors property line, then action is warranted. Maintaining a clear walkway and keeping peace with the folks that live next to you is important. If this is the year that you plan to put in more flowerbeds or grow some veggies, then you may need to prune some trees so that the sun's rays can reach those developing seeds.
