There are very many people who usually have a problem when it comes to installing MYSQL on a dedicated server. Below you will find a guide that can be used to make sure the installation process is done right without any complications.

The first thing that needs to be done is to visit the official MYSQL webpage to download it. Even though you can check the settings on the hosting servers, it is important to leave the values of the MYSQL as default. Based on your current machine's processor, you will need to choose the bits system for your server hosting.

In case you are not certain about your hardware, it is better to either look at the user's manual or ask a representative of the manufacturing company. Once you have decided on the correct type of bits, then you can simply download that option.

This will lead you to a registration form. This is where you will have to fill in some basic information like your name, email address and other contact information. Make sure you fill in the correct information, as this is what you will use to log into the site.

Once you are logged, you will be prompted to fill a second application. While you could always complete this step if you are not in a hurry, you can simply skip it and head directly the webpage where you can download MYSQL for dedicated servers.

The download page will have several mirror download channels from different countries marked as flags. Your best choice is using your own country or a county nearby for, so all you have to do is save the installation program. At this point you should see the download bar displayed on your monitor. This does not take up too much time but you have to wait for it to finish. After the browser announced that the download is complete, you can turn it off.

Check for the MYSQL icon in your download folder, in case you have one or check for the icon on the desktop. You can run it by double clicking on this icon. This will bring you the installation wizard that will help you complete the process fast. You can opt for customizing the settings instead of choosing the default. You can navigate through the installation of your dedicated server software process by pressing next.

At the end of the installation, you will most likely be redirected to the official MYSQL page where you can find out more about their services. After the installation is complete, you can customize the settings and choose the ones that you will need. It is usually best to use the detailed configuration and multifunctional database. Check out whether the proper internet protocol is enabled. Save the folder on the local drive c and come up with a password that will be used for the root user. Do not forget to uncheck the tab that says create an anonymous account before you are done with the installation.
