The desire to know what we can expect from managed hosting providers in 2012 drives much of the planning and positioning that takes place in the industry. Since many aspects of developing technology cannot be predetermined, marketing experts study the cutting edge of technology to look at what may be more commonplace as the months of 2011 expire. Here are a few of the predictions that seem likely to become trends. One of the predictions that is almost certain is that the number of clients choosing dedicated managed server hosting will probably increase. More small businesses and expanding businesses are moving into global marketing venues. By a service contract with a host to provide services, the entrepreneurial business is provided with an expansion into the world wide venue. Cloud computing is likely to continue to increase for all the users. Hosting services are choosing to offer expertise in the design of this type of product. Clients may not be able to keep up with the terminology and technology, but they expect that the host will be abreast of the available services in order to present the customer in the best possible light. Another projection that one can expect over the next few months is that platforms will grow in size and complexity. Client will have the benefit of these enlarged service platforms. Unfortunately, though, as companies invest larger amounts of money into products and services, there is more determination to recoup costs. This means that vendor products have very little interface. As host companies expand and improve platforms, they may also add useful and helpful applications to the existing base. Lients get the benefit of more powerful and helpful service for the money that is spent on the platform. Small businesses are especially able to benefit from the extra features. During the coming year, it is difficult to know precisely what will transpire in the technology. Clients are nearly certain to appreciate many of the expected improvements and enhancements from which they can select. Cloud computing and the use of this type of formation is likely to continue to expand. Hosting companies that are positioned to take advantage of this type of platform are sure to be in the forefront of revenues. Properly used, Cloud computing can save the money that will help to pay for service. Even smaller providers can get into the industry more easily. There is no question but that the downturn in the economy will affect the future of managed hosting. While there are new marketing concepts and ideas in the software, it is also true that more companies can enter the industry and become a provider of services. At the same time, there are new markets opening up in Third World countries. Knowing what can we expect from managed hosting providers in 2012 will vary according to the individuals providing the prognostication. However, it is expected that managed hosting will grow in scope and in numbers. Cloud computing will play a larger role, with larger platforms that are not necessarily interactive. New markets and new technology will help to reduce the effects of the economic downturn.
