The Proform 850 Elliptical Trainer With Gamefit - Getting Fit Is Now Officially Fun Again

By : Scott Salter

I was researching different cardio machines on the Internet when I came across the Proform 850 Elliptical Trainer. This particular exercise machine had some interesting aspects which really piqued my interest and made me want to find out more. You see I'd decided that I wanted to 1. do more exercise and 2. find a way to make that exercise a little more varied and interesting. So I was particularly interested in seeing how the GameFit portion and health readings of the Proform 850 worked.

Sitting on the couch is what probably what first springs to mind for most individuals when it comes to the thought of playing video games, but I discovered that the Proform 850 is an elliptical machine that is actually equipped with GameFit technology. This technology has the Calorie Destroyer and Fat Blocker video games built into the machine as an option (or distraction) for the user whilst he or she is exercising. It appeals to all ages with moderate workout abilities, but the neat thing is that the games will get easier the harder the person works out. This component may be the perfect thing for those with a competitive nature or those who are in need of a little distraction to get through their workout.

Another benefit I discovered about the Proform 850 review is that it allows you to keep track of your health statistics by giving you the option of getting an accurate pulse reading. The sensors are built into the handlebars so you only have to grip them to get an automatic reading of your heart rate. This is perfect for those who need to be cognizant of where their heart rate is at or for the people trying to concentrate their workout level to a specific area.

The one downfall of the Proform 850 that I did discover was if you aren't interested in the GameFit technology, then the elliptical trainer is just an average exercise machine. Overall, I'd say that it's perfectly adequate for the moderate exercise enthusiast but is maybe not enough for the really hard-core workout buff.

Its sturdiness was something that also casught my attention. In fact its quality is comparable to the quality of the exercise machines that you find in professional gyms. The fact that it has been designed to hold a person weighing up to 275 pounds gives you an idea of its solidity

In the final analysis, I was impressed enough with what I found out to actually go out and purchase the Proform 850 Elliptical Trainer with Gamefit Technology for my wife and myself. Neither of us are sorry that I did.
