Are you dealing with early perimenopause or maybe thinking you are? You need to know some crucial facts about it so you can determine if this is what your body is going through.

First you need to know exactly what this is. It basically refers to when your body starts to go through menopause. Doctors use this term when they are referring to the early stages of a decrease of estrogen in your body.

So you can better determine if this is what you have been dealing with lately you need to know what the symptoms are. Here are the symptoms to be aware of.

1. Hot flashes - These can occur at any time of the day or night. A lot of women deal with them at night by dealing with what is known as night sweats. One of the early signs that your body is decreasing your estrogen levels is hot flashes.

2. A symptom many women deal with is a change in your menstrual cycle. Your cycle can become shorter and lighter or you may start experiencing irregular cycles each month. The shorter monthly cycle is what usually happens to women but not always.

3. Mood changes - Your mood can change instantly and will present itself in many forms. Irritability and sadness that can't be explained are two of the common symptoms that many women notice.

These symptoms can be similar to PMS symptoms but they will happen at different times of the month and not just around the time of your cycle.

4. Trouble sleeping - This can range from waking up at the same time every night to having trouble getting asleep.

5. Vaginal problems - If it is painful during intercourse or you have more urinary tract infections than you have before this means your body has already lost some of its natural lubrication which is provided by estrogen.

You want to watch for any of these symptoms because they will give you a good indication of whether or not you are dealing with perimenopause or something else altogether.

It is imperative to realize that for some women the symptoms can start when you are in your early thirties. Most women won't experience them until around the age of 40 but it is not the same for every woman.

Now that you know these vital facts on early perimenopause you will have an easier time knowing if this is what you are dealing with. Be sure to keep track of any symptoms you notice because you can use this to discuss with your doctor so you know 100% for sure that this is what your body is going through.
