Here is a notion almost everybody shares. "Cowboy boots are called that way because they are just for cowboys." Well, if you are among the people who think this way, then this may come as a shock to you. You are wrong. Although initially cowboy boots are made for farm hands who does a lot of riding and who steps on a lot of mud in a ranch, they have totally evolved since their inception. For one, you do not just see them now on ranches and farms. They can now be seen in different industries and environment as well. A lot of handymen for example prefer using them because, they are easy on the feet. Their correct fit makes the wearer feel as if they are wearing socks instead of shoes. More than the comfort they bring, the steel toe variety is also a lot safer compared to other conventional pairs of shoes. With them on, your carpenter would not have to worry about hurting themselves if a hammer or a similar tool accidentally drops on their feet. Apart from handy men, sometimes you can also spot nature enthusiasts like hunters and explorers wearing cowboy boots. And why not? Those boots are practically their protection against grass and other plants that cause rashes or allergies. In addition, those cowboy boots that are waterproof are just perfect for treading shallow rivers and streams without getting your feet wet. And those are just two of the many proofs that cowboy boots do not just belong in cowboy feet anymore. Note however that as a pair of boots changes its function, manufacturers sometimes find the need to customize them accordingly. John Deere Boots for example have steel toes and are water proof. Apart from that, most if not all of their pairs are given rubber soles that will keep the wearer steady all the time. This makes them perfect for handymen who spend a lot of time in their workshop tinkering with their carpentry projects and all that. So if you work in a kitchen where a lot of grease gets thrown on the floors and you want to keep your own style, then these boots will be right for you.
