Special rates are often offered for extended or mid-week stays. Of course, all the big-name hotel chains can be found, but families and large groups often prefer the comforts and convenience of renting a condo or house, since they feel more like a home away from home, with all the conveniences a home can offer. These are usually fully equipped with linens and towels, and a fully stocked kitchen for cooking.
While there are many accommodations that permit dogs, the Destin beaches do not permit them to run loose on the beaches, so perhaps it is better to leave Fido at home for this vacation. Or stay in one of the rentals that has dog run areas on site, so your pet gets plenty of exercise, too.
