There comes a time in every man’s life when he decides to pop the question. The next step is to decide how. Depending on how much your girlfriend loves you, it shouldn’t be a problem. But all kidding aside, you don’t want to make it cheesy, well, unless you do. Here are some ideas: 1. Down on one knee, with a rose in your mouth (be careful of thorns) 2. On a romantic getaway in the Pacific Isles 3. Under a starlit night 4. With a ring on top of her dessert at your favorite restaurant 5. At the office on Monday (or Friday) afternoon with a dozen roses and a bottle of champagne 6. In between innings at Yankee Stadium 7. Over the radio with the help of your favorite DJ 8. With rose petals and a wedding ring box on your bed 9. After making her an extra special breakfast in bed 10. During a foot massage, place the ring on her toe 11. Put the ring in the bottom of a champagne or wine glass, (make sure she doesn’t swallow it) 12. During a picnic 13. Place the ring in an oyster 14. In a hot air balloon with the threat of death by jumping if she doesn’t 15. Hire a plane banner that asks the question 16. Or a skywriter who can spell it out for you 17. In French 18. During her surprise birthday party that you threw, after she blows out the candles 19. Write it in sand at the beach 20. Or in snow outside a log cabin 21. Break in to her house with balloons and roses and wait for her to get home. 22. Run a bath and place a ring with a note in one of the candles you ask her to light 23. At a nice restaurant, get the waiter to write “Will you marry me?” around the rim of the plate in whatever sauce garnishes her dish 24. Write it on a billboard she sees on her commute 25. If you’re taking a trip together on a plane, get the pilot to ask for you when he’s making pre-landing announcements 26. On Valentine’s Day 27. Days of Thunder style – get a cop to pull her over and give her a “love ticket” 28. On a sail boat, or yacht – basically anywhere near water 29. Go out dancing and get the DJ to pass you the mic 30. Place the ring on her finger while she’s sleeping 31. Create a web page about your relationship together, and when she says yes, you can send it to friends and family as wedding invitations 32. Grab an after work drink at a hotel, and before you leave take her to the room you booked upstairs 33. Write her a love sonnet with the question at the end 34. Deliver her a singing telegram 35. Spell it in her driveway or in front of her apartment in chalk 36. Whisper it in her ear, first thing in the morning
